Qiang Li, Meng Li, Wei Gu, Zhi Cao
Manufacturing & Service Operations Management
Summary
Using a staggered difference-in-differences design with matching, this study evaluates China's medical poverty alleviation program at an underresourced hospital. The program reduces service time and seven-day revisits, with stronger gains for less experienced physicians, assistant-experienced physicians, larger expert–physician experience gaps, and technologically complex departments.
